In many ways I love being tall. I can usually reach the top shelf. I can see over people's heads at concerts. I'm quickly spotted if someone needs to find me.

 

But, aside from all the little bonuses, there are undeniably a few annoyances, and one – the main one, probably – is shopping. In addition to all the usual challenges most women face to find clothes in their size, shape, budget, style and ethics, tall women face a whole other set of obstacles. Our height means that all our style choices must be made with length in mind, which reduces choice massively and means that every purchase comes with a whole lot of compromise, frustration, and extra time spent.

What if you're tall and you also care about the planet, for example? What if you're tall and you mind if the fabric that touches your skin is uncomfortable, and might actually be unhealthy for you? What if you're tall, but short on time, and you still want to look put-together? What if you're tall and you actually want – *gasp, how dare you* – something specific?

To make life easier for us tall dolls, I will be sharing any appealing tall fashion styles I can find. If there's a sale on a special piece and I know about it, I'll let you know. I'm not vouching for anything, just giving you the info to do with what you will.

 

I just ask that you remember I'm only one woman and I'm in the thick of it too ('it' being life) so if I miss something, forgive me :)
